CAPTURE AND CAPTIVATE: Documenting Asian Canadian Stories through Self-Expression

In celebration of Chinese Cultural Heritage Week in BC, the Chinese Canadian Museum is convening a discussion to explore the important role that self-documentation plays in preserving and sharing the diverse histories and experiences of Asian Canadian communities.
Three speakers active across the arts and culture sphere in BC will share their insights: community curator and designer Catherine Clement, filmmaker and editor Lawrence Le Lam, and visual artist Elisa Yon. The following commemorative projects that these creatives are currently developing respectively will be introduced:
