Bubble Tea Day at the Museum

It’s National Bubble Tea Day on April 30th! Join us in honouring this beloved treat as we celebrate on Saturday, April 26th.

Originating in Taiwan in the 1980s, bubble tea has since become a global sensation. This iconic beverage typically features a tea base mixed with milk or fruit flavours, and chewy tapioca pearls (also known as boba or bubbles). Over the years, bubble tea has evolved, offering a diverse array of flavours and toppings and is enjoyed by bubble tea lovers around the world while proudly carrying its cultural heritage.

Create your own paper bubble tea shaker card to give to your BBT loving friend! Customize your shaker card to feature your favourite flavour and toppings. This drop-in family-friendly craft activity is free with admission. All craft materials provided, while supplies last.

No celebration of bubble tea would be complete without the taste of the drink itself! Visit Teaspoons & Co’s pop-up booth at the museum, where they will be serving bubble tea samples to visitors. Try a free sample – while supplies last!
