Winter Solstice Festival at the Museum
The Winter Solstice Festival, also known as Dongzhi 冬至, falls on the longest night of the year and celebrates the arrival of winter. Celebrated on December 21 this year, many families will gather to enjoy dumplings, tangyuan, and hot pot; and also honour ancestors.
Welcome the winter season together with us at the museum! Drop in for a family-friendly craft activity where you can create your own snow globe featuring a miniature boba tea or rice cooker to take home. Plus, enjoy a taste of tangyuan, a warm treat perfect for the cold season and a staple of the Winter Solstice Festival. Crafts and tastings are included with museum admission and available from 11 A.M. to 3 P.M., while supplies last. You don’t want to miss out on this one!
