Artist Panel Talk: "Reshaping Collections: Where History Meets Art" | Vancouver
Celebrate the opening of Reshaping Collections: Where History Meets Art with us! This new exhibition, located in the Introductory Gallery, explores the role that art plays in bridging the historical past and contemporary future through the reinterpretation of historical objects and materials in the Wallace B. and Madeline H. Chung Collection that is housed in the University of British Columbia Rare Books and Special Collections.
Joined by the Chinese Canadian artists whose works feature in Reshaping Collections and moderated by curators Sarah Ling and Melissa Lee, come learn about the archival research process that inspired their artworks exploring Canadian identity.
