Here and Forever After: Qingming Ceremony and Tour at Mountain View Cemetery | Vancouver
The Qingming Festival — also known as Ching Ming Festival — marks a time to honour ancestors by visiting their tombs to pay respects. Join us on Saturday, April 13th for a communal ceremony to pay respects and leave traditional offerings at Mountain View Cemetery.
On a guided tour, celebrate the legacies and hardships of early Chinese migrants and pioneers whose stories are also featured in the Chinese Canadian Museum, including several bachelors in The Paper Trail and members of the Yip family.
This program coincides with the Vancouver Chinese Benevolent Association’s ancestor worship ceremony.
