CCM Mid-Autumn Celebrations – Vancouver Site
Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with us from September 10 – 11 at our exhibitions in Vancouver Chinatown! Walk under a “Sky of Lanterns”, an illuminated installation of festive mid-autumn lanterns and savour regional varieties of mooncakes.
For a limited time on Saturday, September 10 at 1 pm – 3 pm, enjoy a special pop-up experience to admire the moon. You will have the opportunity to go behind the scenes with the creators of our “Pieces of the Moon” program co-presented with the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre. Our guest presenters include Michael Unger, Programs Coordinator, H.R. MacMillan Space Centre and Paige Jung, Illustrator.
Admission by donation. (A donation of $5 is suggested for entry to the pop-up and creator meet-and-greet.)
Immerse in these traditions and celebrate the diverse heritage of Chinese communities from Canada and around the world this Mid-Autumn Festival!
Thank you to the City of Vancouver, Cultural Services and H.R. MacMillan Space Centre for their support.
Mooncake tastings offered while supplies last.
