Grace Wong and Richard K. Wong Donate $1.1 million to Chinese Canadian Museum
The Chinese Canadian Museum Society of BC has received a $1.1 million gift from board chair, Grace Wong, along with her husband Richard K. Wong and family.
We thank Grace and Richard and their family for the generous support and belief in our work. Building the first public Chinese Canadian Museum demands extraordinary commitment, energy, and a synergy of vision, knowledge, and skills. We are eminently grateful for Grace’s transformative leadership, and her commitment and faith in building a museum that honours Chinese Canadian histories and heritage.
The Wong Family’s donation will be recognized through naming of the “School Room” located on the third floor of the Wing Sang Building.
This donation follows CCM’s launch of a $25 million fundraising campaign to secure the museum’s operations and sustainability, renovations, and permanent exhibitions and programming in the Wing Sang Building.
We hope this extraordinary news inspires you to join us in making history together in opening the doors of the first Chinese Canadian Museum of British Columbia.
