Here and Forever After: Qingming Tour of the Chinese Cemetery at Harling Point | Victoria

The Qingming Festival — also known as Ching Ming Festival — marks a time to honour ancestors by visiting their tombs to pay respects.

Join us on Sunday, April 7th in learning about the fascinating history of the Chinese Cemetery at Harling Point, a national historic site, and in recounting the lives of many who are buried here. This tour will be led by Charlayne Thornton-Joe, former city councillor and Visitor Experience and Facilities Coordinator of the Chinese Canadian Museum’s Fan Tan Alley location, whose own grandfather is buried at Harling Point. This tour will also highlight the recently refurbished heritage interpretation panels that Charlayne volunteered to have installed.
